He had this bugger together in less than an hour, all on his own. --He usually hates when I order things online, but he could not stop commenting on how well constructed the pieces were (real wood), and how easy this was to put together. <br/><br/>Aside from the high price tag, I decided it was worth it, and have admired it more and more over time. <br/>I'm uncertain what problems people may have had with assembly or construction with the 'leaf' falling down on them (I almost did NOT order this product due to those reviews), but I've had several young children, adults, construction workers, and my lazy-self all leaning up against the leaf, and it holds just fine...real wood and all. If you have patience, I’m sure one person could manage the construction of this island w/ some effort. We bought this item last week and just love it. Failed on Quality inspection there. The plastic pins break very easily, snap in half... but, can they give you a few extras? NO! This is a nice unit, but not worth a hundred dollars! 4 of the pieces where nicked or scraped right out of the box, and the pieces were packed in a way that its obvious they went in nicked or scraped. Failed on Quality inspection there. The plastic pins break very easily, snap in half… but, can they give you a few extras? NO! Not even 1 or 2 extra, so I had to go and buy 2 braces for the top shelf. I love my Napa kitchen center!! My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to put together with only one person. Definitely a two person job…so it took me a little longer than I would have liked to assemble, but the outcome is magnificent!! I love it love it love it! Great for a small kitchen for extra counter/cabinet space!!!

It came in 33 parts, plus 112 screws, knobs, wheels, etc. But the instructions were great! Each piece had a letter on it so there was no confusing which part was which. I laid it out and built it while watching the food network.

This set fits perfectly in her kitchen and the kids love pulling out the bar stools and sitting at the table to eat their breakfast or do their homework. Mom can use it for extra counter top or because it is on wheels easily move it to the dining room where it could be used as a buffet when she has extra guests. This is the second table of this kind I have purchased as I have one for myself and sent one to NY for my daughter. <br/>Assembly takes about an hour, and both of us GIRLS put it together with no problems. Has light blond colored wood and 2 little drawers and a towel bar. With light sanding it could be painted if color was not to your liking. My daughter has a small kitchen and limited counter space. This set fits perfectly in her kitchen and the kids love pulling out the bar stools and sitting at the table to eat their breakfast or do their homework. Mom can use it for extra counter top or because it is on wheels easily move it to the dining room where it could be used as a buffet when she has extra guests. This is the second table of this kind I have purchased as I have one for myself and sent one to NY for my daughter.
Assembly takes about an hour, and both of us GIRLS put it together with no problems. Has light blond colored wood and 2 little drawers and a towel bar. With light sanding it could be painted if color was not to your liking. The design of the cart was good – it is an excellent space saver. However, it was difficult to put together – the pre-drilled holes for the screws were difficult to get the screws into. A power screw driver might have worked better but I could not get all screws tight and flush utilizing a manual screw driver.
